Here's the Alfa, back home after 25 months of body, paint, and upholstery
work
By February of 2002, more than two years after my little faded and worn GTV
left for its whole-body make over, it was home again in Santa Clara,
theoretically ready to drive. In reality, it took another two weekends of
troubleshooting to debug some problems created at the body shop.
The third weekend was spent buffing with various miracle paint polishers and
protectors before the AR501 Red GTV was ready for the street. A note to all who doubt
the reliability of a properly tuned Alfa: My car fired right up after two
years of sitting, with no more help than a shot of starting ether in both
dual-choke Webers. In these photos it's still sitting on stock springs.
That was soon changed.

Question: How many groomsmen does it take to push a
Sport Sedan to the wedding? Count for yourself.
This was son Ted and gang on his wedding day.
